The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada upholds the Idea on the Reduce of Wages for the People´s Deputy and Governmental Officials
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada upholds the Idea on the Reduce of Wages for the People´s Deputy and Governmental Officials. It should be one, according to him, first of all because the Government in the new Budget bill reduced expenses for the needs of the Verkhovna Rada in three tomes but increased expenses on the governmental needs in 12,4% and that of the president´s Administration approximately in 27%.
According to V. Lytvyn, the main reason here is that "somebody who expects the victory and does not see the Verkhovna Rada in the system of power realization and presupposes financing according to the expectations". According to the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, under the present conditions, the provision of the state power bodies should be simplified as much as possible. V. Lytvyn suggests that the administrations should be reduced in three times and the quantity of the assistants in the central power bodies.
Giving answers to the questions regarding the possible reduce in the quantity of the People´s Deputies, V. Lytvyn declared that this problem might have been solved in year 2000, according to the results of the People´s referendum. "This chance is lost", - he declared.
